Every case, in one place.
Reconstruction is a series of stories about AI agents and the records they leave behind. Each case is a different industry, a different agent, and the same question: when something goes wrong, can anyone prove what happened?
Every case has thirteen parts. After each part comes the lesson it teaches and a question to ask at your own company. Every case ends the same way, with four questions and the one thing the one vendor had. You do not need to know how AI works.
How the cases arrive
One case at a time runs as a weekly serial: a new part every Monday, the lesson and question on Wednesday, here and on LinkedIn. The other cases are published complete, two every Tuesday, here only.
If you subscribe, you can choose: the weekly part of the running case by email, the complete cases by email, both, or neither. Nothing else is ever emailed.
Every name is fiction. The problem is not.

The investigators
Joan runs an independent investigation practice. Her people are brought in after the event, by a board, a county, or an audit committee, to work out exactly what happened and why. Joan led Case 1 herself. In every later case she sends one of her team and steps in twice: when the case turns, and at the end, with her four questions.
The record
Every case ends with an open protocol called FORAY. What it is, what it does, and what it does not do: The record
I build tools for this problem through my company, DUNIN7.
