RECONSTRUCTION is a story about two AI agents that moved $380 million overnight and left a four-line record. This is the lesson from Part 1. Start at Part 1: https://reconstruction.dunin7.com/p/part-1-of-13-0214
NIGHTSHIFT’s 212 transfers were recorded perfectly. Every amount, every account, every second. What was never recorded was why. A transaction is what moved. A decision is the reason it moved. Business systems were built to keep the first, and almost never keep the second. That was tolerable when a person made the decision and could be asked. The person is no longer in the room.
Four lines of log for 212 transfers and $380 million is not a record. It’s a receipt with the items torn off.
